44 billion for renewable energy in Africa by Afrik21

The European Union will invest 44 billion euros into the development of renewable energy, posts Afrik21.

Right now, 1.6 billion sub-Saharan African households do not have electricity.The investment should help reduce this number, as well as help reduce the impacts of climate change on vulnerable regions.
